864 677-2687     David and Donna Holmes, hosts    1540 HarrisSprings Road Waterloo, SC 29384
David had traveled the South Carolina area for many years with his job and often admired the tranquil lake front property that allowed several pleasant peeks along Highway 221 in Laurens County.  Ironically the Holmes moved to Laurens County and discovered the exact property was available. David and Donna were foster parents and wanted a nurturing environment for their children. The baby deer and turkey wandering in the meadow and the eager fish in the lake made the decision to build easy.  The original plan was a four bedroom home which quickly evolved into a seven bedroom haven.

The home is decorated with many antiques and a southern charm.  From its individualized room decorations to the beautiful lake views from every level, the home lures guest to set aside daily situations. The 60 acre open tract allows room to explore nature, fly a kite, play ball, pitch a tent, skip rocks on the lake and remember the simple things life can offer.  Staying at the Holmes Sweet Home is a truly memorable and relaxing experience.

The Holmes pride themselves on taking excellent care of their guests and make them feel at home. Once guest drive through the stone entrance gate, they should look for strolling turkey, grazing deer, hawks, herons, doves, rabbits and other country wildlife.
Many mornings and evenings become God's canvas where he creates beautiful blazes of color.  Artists will find many opportunities to try and capture.
